Parents, faculty, staff, and students all benefited deeply from her loving presence, steady demeanor, and passionate heart for justice. She moved our community forward in a significant way on personal, interpersonal, and institutional equity issues. We are so grateful for her contributions and highly recommend her!”

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity I had to work with Chidimma Ozor exploring racism in America and the vital role of anti-racism training. It was a transformative experience.

Chidimma possesses a profound understanding of the historical underpinnings of racism in our nation and the urgency to address it. She took the time to educate me on the painful history of racial discrimination and how systemic issues continue to affect our communities. And, I appreciated her unique gift of making complex concepts accessible and relatable.

As a result of our collaboration, I felt empowered to create an anti-racism training for my peers in the addiction recovery community. Chidimma  provided me with the foundation, the resources, and the confidence to take this initiative. Her mentorship was invaluable.

She was the light I needed. Her influence was immeasurable. My work continues to be inspired by her teachings and commitment to change.”

“My name is Don Wooldridge, and I was the chair of the Board of Christian Education at First United Church in Bloomington, Indiana in 2020, when we hired Chidimma Ozor to conduct an Anti-Racism training for members of the congregation. We had originally planned an in-person training during the spring of that year but, due to the pandemic, we rescheduled the training to be conducted virtually during the late summer/early fall. The training was conducted over a two-day period for several hours each day. Approximately 20 congregants attended the sessions. Chidimma included a complimentary debrief session for myself to attend to go over the results of the training approximately a week later. She also included a feedback questionnaire for attendees to complete as well as providing her own constructive feedback regarding her experience with us as a training facilitator.

Chidimma was very patient, knowledgeable, personable, and kind, while being assertive regarding her own needs and standing up for herself when members of the congregation unwittingly used microagressions towards her. These moments were important as examples of how to appropriately receive constructive feedback without becoming defensive, how to recognize microaggressions when they occur, and how to acknowledge and make space for another’s hurt and expression of pain. Chidmma educated our congregation on a wide variety of topics in order to form a foundation for deeper growth and learning in our journey to become a more anti-racist congregation.

Chidimma’s training was an invaluable learning opportunity for our congregation, and Chidimma’s willingness to be vulnerable with her feelings and lived experience as well as her expertise with the material would serve as a welcome growth opportunity for any group of individuals. I could not recommend her more highly.”
